¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees Approves New Center for Advanced Air Mobility, Improvements at University Airport and Purchase of Training Fleet Aircraft
The ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees approved resolutions that advance programs for students studying aeronautics during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 28 on the Kent Campus.
¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees Establishes Six New Majors
The ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of six new majors during its regular quarterly meeting held March 9 in Columbus, Ohio, at Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph. Five of the new majors fall under the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, and one falls under the College of Arts and Sciences.

¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees Approves Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies
The ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a new master’s degree that will help meet two decades of sustained growth in the broad field of conflict studies. The new Peace and Conflict Studies major within the Master of Arts degree will be offered in person on the Kent Campus and will prepare students for careers as practitioners in the fields of peace and conflict management and for doctorate study.

The ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2026 at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 21 at the ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Airport. ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ’s freshman class began classes on the Kent Campus nearly 7% larger than the previous year with 4,251 students – the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.

Governor Appoints Haley Dees to ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board as New Undergraduate Student Trustee
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Haley Dees of Lisbon, Ohio, to the ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees as an undergraduate student trustee. Dees’ two-year term runs through May 16, 2024.
Governor Names Christian Palich to ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Christian Palich of Plain City, Ohio, to the ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ Board of Trustees. Palich will serve through May 16, 2031. Palich earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2009 from ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ.
