Sixteen years later, ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black ¶¡ÏãÎåÔÂæÃæÃÖÐÎÄ alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
